John Hamman
Director
B.Acc (Hons), CA(SA), M.Comm (Tax)
After completing his articles at PWC in 1994, John joined the tax department, where he gained experience in all aspects of tax compliance and successfully completed his Master’s degree in Tax at the University of Stellenbosch. During 1996, John joined the Treasury Division at Boland Bank as Head of the Middle and Back Office where he was also involved in the development and implementation of new
financial products. In August 1997, he left Boland Bank Treasury to join Boland Financial Services (later becoming Mettle) as the Head of Accounting and Risk. John was one of the founding shareholders of Pointbreak and joined the company on a fulltime basis in 2003. He played a significant role in the development of all the facets of Pointbreak’s business in South Africa and Namibia where he was a director of various Group companies and was part of the Investment and
Remuneration Committee.
The Pointbreak Group was acquired by FirstRand Namibia in 2017.
In May 2024, management of the South African based property
business acquired the property business from FirstRand Namibia
and re-branded it to Reefrock, of which John is currently a
shareholder and director.
John is actively involved in all strategic areas of the business, with
his main focus being on growing the current portfolios with quality
relevant long-term assets.
Keith Muirhead
Director
BCom, CIMA, ACMA, CGMA, PGDip (PropStudies)
Keith joined ReefRock in March 2013 following a decade of international experience in London, where he held key finance and operational roles at leading organisations including BBC Worldwide, UBS, and Westfield — the world’s largest retail property developer and manager by market capitalisation.
At Westfield, Keith served as Joint Venture Reporting Manager and Finance Operations Manager, overseeing a retail property portfolio valued at over £3 billion. This role provided him with strong exposure and expertise in asset management and investor reporting within complex joint venture structures. Since returning to South Africa, Keith has played a central role in shaping ReefRock’s strategic direction. He is actively involved across all areas of the business and is committed to delivering strong, long-term investment performance for clients. His passion lies in growing ReefRock into a premier boutique commercial property investment manager, while fostering the development of the team and culture.
Adriaan Jonker
Asset Manager

Adriaan joined ReefRock in September 2020 with 12-years’ experience in the property industry. He joined the property
division of Shoprite Checkers in 2008 and in 2012 moved to Spire Property Management as a property manager. In his last 4 years before joining Reefrock, he worked as an asset manager at Fortress (a JSE listed REIT).
At Fortress, Adriaan managed the commercial, industrial and retail portfolio in the Western and Eastern Cape valued at over R1 billion. Since joining ReefRock, Adriaan has been responsible for the effective management of a property portfolio consisting of retail, office and industrial buildings worth in excess of R1.3 billion. With his broad range of skills and experience in the real estate industry, Adriaan brings a
focused and hands-on approach to the asset management team to protect and enhance long-term investment returns for ReefRock and Reefrock’s clients.
Jaco Brink
Financial Manager

Jaco joined ReefRock as finance manager in March 2025. Prior to this role, he dedicated three years to overseeing the finance
function at an unlisted property fund which focuses on Western Cape assets, gaining comprehensive experience in financial management within the real estate sector. His professional journey also includes a year and a half as a branch & customer success manager at TecEx, which provided invaluable exposure to client relations, market dynamics, and strategic growth. This commercial insight complements his core finance expertise, honed during his articles at PwC. This blend of audit, sales, and financial leadership positions him uniquely for the opportunities at ReefRock.
Grant Straiton
Asset Manager

Grant joined Pointbreak, now Reefrock, in 2003 and has been involved in the financial services
industry across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including structured finance, treasury, foreign exchange, private equity, property unit trusts and property asset management in both Namibia and South Africa. In March 2009, Grant relocated to Cape Town where he was responsible for the asset management and growth of Pointbreak’s Private Property Portfolio. In April of 2013 Grant relocated back to Namibia to assume responsibility for the Pointbreak Property Unit Trust and the establishment of the Forex
trading desk for Ebank Ltd, a technology driven bank launched on the 1st of November 2014. In June 2019, Grant relocated back to Cape Town to assume an asset management role for the Reefrock real estate portfolio, where he has been since actively involved in
assisting to grow the property portfolio of Reefrock.
Alet Heyns
Legal & Compliance Officer
LLB (IV)
Alet joined Reefrock in May 2016 after being admitted as an attorney, having completed her articles with a strong focus on
conveyancing and civil litigation. Her foundational experience equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of conveyancing transactions and legal processes. In her current role at Reefrock, Alet is instrumental in providing legal and administrative support across the entire business. She oversees the compliance and governance frameworks, ensuring the company operates within all regulatory guidelines. Furthermore, Alet actively supports the asset management team across the property portfolios, with a particular emphasis on managing leasing agreements and other essential legal activities. Alet’s strong focus on compliance, governance and legal & administrative support are key to ensuring the smooth operations at ReefRock.
